In darkness deep the seed descends,
Through layers of earth its journey wends.
Silent in soil’s warm embrace,
Finding there its resting place.
Heat seeps in through hardened shell,
Breaking walls where life did dwell.
In death’s quiet transformation,
Lies the birth of new creation.
Days pass in the fertile ground,
Until a shoot, reaching, is found.
Stretching up through earthen night,
Drawn by whispers of the light.
Then at last, a leaf unfolds,
Green life breaking from death’s hold.
What was lost now springs anew,
Reaching skyward, fresh as dew.
In this dance of death and birth,
Sacred cycle in the earth,
Wisdom lies in letting go,
For only then can new life grow.
