Opening Remarks: “Seven Days From Now”

DONALD TRUMP: Thank you. Oh, thank you very much. And hello, Jackson. This is a very special place to me because I come back.

It’s an incredible state, which I won all three times with more votes than any candidate in history. So I like that. That’s good for my ego. I’m winning at all. Winning records.

Seven days from now, the people of Texas are going to defeat democrat communist James Talarico. We’re going to reelect Governor Greg Abbott. We’re going to reelect Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick. We love him. Phenomenal guy.

We’re going to elect Republicans up and down the line, and most importantly, we are going to elect one of the greatest attorney generals any… This is in the entire country. This guy is considered by many to be the best, but whether he’s the best or among the best few, but he’s the greatest in the history of Texas attorney general, Ken Paxton. I kid him all the time, but the bottom line is he’s the best attorney general in the history of Texas. He deserves to be put where…

And we need that vote. We need that vote. Otherwise, all of the great things we’ve done are going to change very quickly. Ted Cruz is here, and he’s doing a great job. We need his vote.

We need his vote. Ted told me we gotta have a victory. It’s true. Very important for Texas. It’s very important.

Venezuelan Oil Arrives at the Port of Corpus Christi

But I’m thrilled to be here at the Port of Corpus Christi and the breaking news. And one of the many reasons we did it here, have a little breaking news. You have a little ship. See that little ship out there? It’s got 1 million barrels of oil on it from Venezuela.

And we’re celebrating the greatest oil victory in history. To the victor belong the spoils. Right? But thanks to our big victory in our recent war with Venezuela, the oil and… Think of this.

Look at that ship. Is that beautiful? Finally. We’ve had many come in already. We’ve had many come in for refinement.

They refined the oil, but the oil on the ships outside is being provided to the United States at zero cost to the American taxpayer. That’s not bad. The Democrats will attack us. “What kind of a deal is that? What kind of a deal is that?”

I want to thank Venezuela where our relationship has become very, very good, a great one. And billions and billions of dollars are being invested now by the biggest oil companies, many of which come from Texas all over the world, and jobs are happening in Venezuela that nobody would have thought even possible just one year ago. And we’re bringing out a lot of oil for ourselves a lot. It will become a prosperous country, and who knows? Maybe someday soon, it will become a prosperous 51st state.

That’s possible. Let’s make that. Let’s make it the 51st state, and instead of a president, we’ll have an election for a governor. How about that?

They have a lot of oil. They have a lot of oil under… You know how you find oil in Venezuela? Harold Hamm is here, the great oilman. Where’s Harold Hamm?

Where are the great Harold? Biggest independent oilman in the world, actually. Hi, Harold. He told me, “You know how you find oil in Venezuela? You look on the ground.”

There it is. You see it public. Now let’s make it, Harold, the 51st state. Do you like that? I do.

I do. This historic win gives us control over the massive part, the biggest part of the world’s oil supply. We have more oil than any other country, even any countries combined. And it’ll be refined right here in Texas, including right here in Corpus Christi. And you’ll see, it’ll happen very quickly.

It’ll be like a blink. Gasoline and diesel prices will soon come down. They’ll come plummeting down for the consumer.

“It Was All Over in 48 Minutes”

But I want to thank most importantly the warriors of the United States military whose bravery made this great victory against Venezuela possible.

What an attack it was. There’s a great Venezuela… They have very strong military, and it was all over in 48 minutes. And a Venezuela general, a very professional guy, older guy, he said, “I’ve seen a lot of things happen. I’ve never seen anything like what happened to us that night.”

“They came in so fast and so furious and so violent.” We just said, get the hell out of here. We have the greatest military in the world. There’s not even a contest, and we produced the greatest equip… The discombobulated, none of their equipment worked.

They couldn’t understand why they’re… They started to fire. It didn’t work. Ted, you saw that. Right?

We were coming in. Of course, when you’re coming in at 3,000 miles an hour, 20 feet off the ground. But their equipment didn’t work. They have equipment from other countries. I won’t mention the name, but it didn’t work. It didn’t work against our equipment, that I can tell you.

Iran and the “Trump Strait”

We’re now in the throes of having an even greater victory against Iran and stopping them from ever having a nuclear weapon. And you’ve got to understand that America did not start the war with Iran. Iran has been waging this war against America since 1979, killing many, many of our great people.
